BREU RESUM DEL PROJECTE DE RECERCA
FUTURE MOBILITY / URBAN MOBILITY
How are we going to move in the future? Do we have an own car or are we already going to fly? Join us and find out. If you have a passion for cars and if you like to work in a dynamic, young and international atmosphere - SEAT is the place to be. We offer a 3-year Doctor Program (PhD) to professionals with training in Design or Engineering and a fluent level of Spanish and English for the development of a project within the R & D department at the SEAT Technical Center jointly with the UPC of Barcelona.
WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?
This project is about the 4 megatrends: connectivity, electrification, autonomous driving and shared mobility, among this especially the concepts of carsharing and robotaxis. Those new urban mobility services enable the society to move from a place to another without having an own car. To maintain the competitiveness factors, it is necessary to address the service requirements of the service customer-centric approach and the operator approach with special focus to fleet operation costs reduction. The objective of this project is to develop future vehicle concepts linked to urban mobility services.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Develop a service roadmap from carsharing to urban robotaxis.
- Definition of the user experience and of service requirements for purpose design vehicles.
- Examination of the fleet operations potential through vehicle and technology integration.
- Definition of a technical vehicle concept.
- Creation of a first prototype, analysis of the service pilot and deduction to next generation requirements.
