Descripció:

Cubesats are a growing industry were a foldable primary mirror is a desirable feature. However, several spects including being lightweight or enabling good enough optical quality after deployment is very relevant for applications in earth or space imaging or for free-space optical communications. Within this TFE we will explore several aspects related to such telescope, including the construction of the different subsystem, and its its individual and overall evaluation of performance.

Objectius:

- Develop and test a mechanical prototype of cubesat telescope based on an active primary mirror - Test its optical performance and stablility - Investigate the different operational parameters affecting it performance. - Investigate the optimal telescope architecture - Develop deployment methods for the secondary mirror. - Design and construct

Tasques a realitzar / Característiques:

- Design, build a test a prototype of test chamber containing the active primery mirror - Measure and characterize the optical features of the - Test different materials, control parameters and configurations for the test chamber. - Investigate and propose a geometry for the telescope. - Design. construct and test deployment means for the secondary mirror. - Evaluate the overall performance and propose future improvements. - Implement deplayment means for the secondaty mirror.
