Transitional procedure for transferring to the updated curriculum

Transitional procedure for transferring to the updated curriculum

New students enrol in the curriculum updated in 2023.

A transitional period of one year is established for students who started their degree in the 2022-2023 academic year or before to transfer to the new, updated curriculum.

  • For the 2023-2024 academic year, students enrol in the initial curriculum.
  • From the 2024-2025 academic year onwards, students will only be able to enrol in the updated curriculum. All students will automatically be transferred to the new curriculum in July 2024.

Conditions for the transfer

Students enrolled in the old curriculum who at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year

a) Have passed at least all of the subjects in S1, S2 and S3:

The transfer occurs without any changes to the subjects still to be passed in subsequent academic years.

  • Economics and Business will be transferred with the mark for Business (220095).
  • Further Physics will be transferred with the mark for Further Physics (220094).
  • Further Informatics will be transferred with the weighted average mark for S1, S2 and S3.

Remember that a subject is passed with a minimum mark of 5.0 and failed with a mark of between 4.0 and 4.9.

b) Have passed the initial stage but have not passed one or more subjects in S3: students will have to take all the subjects pending in the new curriculum (including Further Informatics).

In this case, in the transfer:

  • Subjects already taken in the 2010 curriculum that do not change in the new curriculum will be transferred without any variation in the marks.
  • Subjects that change in the new curriculum will be transferred in accordance with the following table:

  • Students will be considered to have passed the minimum number of credits as regards the academic progress requirements even if they have not passed Economics and Business, so the enrolment restriction will not apply.

c) Have not passed the initial stage:

Students will be affected by the academic progress regulations. If an additional semester is applied for and granted, this semester will be in the new curriculum and enrolment will be restricted to the initial stage subjects in the new curriculum.

In the particular case of part-time students who have not used up the four years in the academic progress regulations, their academic records are transferred according to the correspondence described in point b), and the conditions and period for passing the initial stage are maintained.
