School

More than 4,000 students study at the Terrassa School of Industrial, Aerospace and Audiovisual Engineering (ESEIAAT) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) on a total of 10 bachelor's degrees and 10 master's degrees in all industrial, aerospace and audiovisual engineering areas.

The ESEIAAT has been training engineers for over 120 years. It is the largest engineering school in Catalonia and one of the largest in Spain, from which almost 900 highly qualified engineers graduate every year, having trained at a school that has over 50,000 m2 of laboratories and classrooms with cutting-edge equipment.

The ESEIAAT is committed to actively training its students, who train in engineering by practising engineering. For over 10 years, the School has been promoting the INSPIRE programme, a pioneering initiative that was awarded a prize by the Government of Catalonia, and thanks to which almost 1,000 students have been able to conceive and work on real engineering projects during their degree.

In addition, 32 ESEIAAT research groups consisting of almost 400 researchers carry out research in practically all areas of industry, orienting their technological innovation projects towards businesses, with a turnover of 20 million euros in the last financial year.
