[05/17/2020 - 00:14h] News regarding the reactivation of the activities at the UPC.
Mar 30, 2020
Dear Community,
As you probably know, on May 14 the Governing Council approved the Plan for the unlockdown and progressive reactivation of the activity at the UPC (https://www.upc.edu/ca/sala-de-premsa/pdfs/pla_desconfinament_cg140520aprovat.pdf). You can find more information at https://www.upc.edu/ca/portalcovid19/desconfinament.
Today May 16, the Ministry of Public Health has published the following Ministerial Order https://www.boe.es/boe/dias/2020/05/16/pdfs/BOE-A-2020-5088.pdf, in which as you can read in the unique additional disposition (page 26) in practice, ALL the campuses of the University happen to be able to realize the activities foreseen in PHASE 1 of the Plan, in spite of the geographic zones of Barcelona and Metropolitan North they continue in Phase O. We have therefore asked the centers, through the services linked to the Transversal Management Units /UTGs to start preparing the necessary action plans to provide the minimum necessary coverage for the activity to be reactivated.
I remind you of the process requesting access to the buildings for activities related to the research and for specific accesses to collect material. The process continues to require the request of the interested party and authorization in the first instance by the Academic Direction. Once the authorization has been given, it requires the interested party to fill in the attached form: https://forms.gle/kaV6FrwKxa5efP2b6
We have activated the procedure to be followed by the Specially Sensitive Staff (PES) as a prerequisite for their access to the University spaces and the communication of cases and contacts that you will find described in the link: https://www.upc.edu/prevencio/ca
I also attach the links to the following information regarding the mandatory measures established by the Ministry of Health for the Phase 1:
In the workplace: https://www.mscbs.gob.es/en/profesionales/saludPublica/ccayes/alertasActual/nCov-China/img/trabajo.jpeg
In schools and universities: https://www.mscbs.gob.es/en/profesionales/saludPublica/ccayes/alertasActual/nCov-China/img/centros_educativos.jpeg
And finally I would like to remind you that we are still in State of Alarm caused by a pandemic that is having a very high cost. It is important to put personal and collective health first and therefore it is necessary to extreme to the maximum measures of protection, especially hygiene and personal distance, and use the protection equipment when indicated or always in case of doubt.
Sincerely,
Xavier Massó
Manager
